Dr. Wess Jordan was born and raised in Southern California where he earned a degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. He attended the Southern California College of Optometry where he graduated with magna cum laude honors after four additional years of training and education. While in training, Dr. Jordan gained extensive experience in various fields of optometry. His training was completed at the Wellish Vision Institute here in Las Vegas, the Veteran’s Hospital in Tucson, and at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland. Dr. Jordan elected to pursue residency training to further his education at the Veteran’s Hospital of Las Vegas. During residency, Dr. Jordan examined over 3,000 patients, many with advanced eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetes. Dr. Jordan and his wife, Dr. Andrea Radtke, opened their private practice in 2012 where they both practice today. Dr. Jordan practices full-scope optometry, not just glasses and contact lenses. He is certified and licensed by the state of Nevada to treat and manage ocular diseases such as infectious conditions, glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye disease.
Since graduation, Dr. Jordan has focused on the specialty contact lens aspect of his practice in which he has completed numerous post-graduate courses and training to expand his experience in this field. He is certified to fit and prescribe a wide range of specialty contact lenses for corneal conditions including keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, post-LASIK and post-radial keratotomy among others. He is also certified to fit and prescribe contact lenses for orthokeratology (ortho-k) which can slow the progression of near-sightedness while eliminating the need to wear contact lenses during the day. Dr. Jordan is currently accepting new patients.
